IPAH e.V.

The IPAH Sommercamp

IPAH is an organization of artist and students of performing arts that aims at bringing together performance artists from all over the world in order to encourage the exchange with and learning from each other. Like the years before we organize a Performance Summer Camp this year, where young performance artists can meet and work together for one week with more experienced artist from whose knowledge and experience they can learn in workshops and discussions.

The IPAH performance Summer Camp provides a platform for young performance artists and students of performance art. No matter whether you are already advanced within your performance practice or you are just taking your first steps in live art - the camp will offer you a unique opportunity: further develop your individual artistic work in workshops with experienced performance artist and exchange and discuss your ideas with other young emerging artists.

Until 2011 we have organized 6 Camps, beginning in 2006. The following artists been invited for teaching:

Adina Bar-On, Israel; Jürgen Fritz, Germany; Bartolomé Ferrando, Spane; Arti Grabowski, Poland; Alastair MacLennan, Irland; Valerian Maly, Switzerland; Monali Meher, India; Boris Nieslony, Germany; Kira O`Reilly, UK; Elvira Santamaria Torres, Mexico; Klara Schilliger, Switzerland.

About 170 participants from 22 countries all over the world have taken part so far.

We try to offer the camp as cheap as possible, because we want to make it possible for everybody to take part. We can also help if the participants need official invitations to apply for travel support.

In 2008 we started the cooperation with the Performer Stammtisch Berlin and in 2009 with the Flutgraben e.V. Since then the Festival Platform For Young Artists was organized just during the week after the Summercamp.

This event is an excellent possibility to show performances to a broader audience and to meet with other young artists from Berlin.

In 2011 we have two floors in the Kunstfabrik am Flutgraben, so it will be possible for more artists from the Summercamp to take part in the Platform Festival.
